Discuss: How do you see the “negativity bias” at play in your life? Consider your words, your thoughts, your responses to others. Consider how you read Scripture. Be honest, try to name a time in the past week where you have “leaned negative” and could have “hunted” and found the “good stuff”? For instance you may have seen a command of Scripture as more burden than opportunity.

Get personal and honest
Q5: When you first came to Christ, or when you actually began to live under his Lordship did you have a desire to tell others about him? Why or why not? What did you do about that desire?

Q6: How would you rate your internal “burden” for people who do not know Christ? No to low burden. A come and go burden. A real and compelling burden. Something else?

Q7: What are some barriers or distractions in your life that keep you from building relationships with non-Christians and sharing the gospel with them?

Q8: What are some good stories you have about ways God has opened the door for the gospel into the lives of others?

Pray: Pray for people you know who are not followers of Christ. Pray for yourself that God would give you an appropriate burden for non-Christians.
