Dear River Family,
We are finishing up nearly six months of adapting to the opportunities presented to us by a virus. Thank you for doing such a great job of keeping perspective and staying focused on what is priority. I am so pleased with how you have treated one another and with all your hard work to stay connected during this time.
Long before COVID hit we began the Build@River plan; it is a process whereby we hope to build not just a more effective facility, but also faith and community. So “Build” means more than “structures,” much more. In just a few weeks construction will begin, but the process of building faith and community has been ongoing.
With COVID we now have the “opportunity” of an added challenge to even more effectively build faith and community. So I am not being flippant when I say the next ten months will be a “fun” challenge. It will be fun, because we get to do it together and we will get to see God move.
Here’s the plan for the next couple of months for Sunday worship:
  • Outside in the courtyard (weather permitting)
  • Sanctuary (masks required)
  • Home streaming
In the case of inclement weather:
  • Sanctuary will be open (masks required)
  • Cafe will be open (masks not required)
Of course we have all learned to hold our plans loosely, so stay tuned as we continue to respond to changes and challenges with faith, together in connected community.
Love,
Pastor Terry

The Heart Attitudes

River is a values-driven church. Some of our highest values are what we call the heart attitudes. The Heart Attitudes are 7 values derived from scripture that guide our relationships with each other and with the church.

Daily Devotionals

Five devotionals are provided each week that correspond to the sermon that is given on Sundays. The devotionals include an opening prayer, a scripture reading and thoughts for reflection and response. The devotionals are a tool to help us take the scripture presented in the message on Sunday and apply it to our lives. You can read the devotionals online or have them emailed to you each day.
