What is the Training Center?

Intentional, personal training for post college individuals who have a growing sense that God is leading them toward a vocational ministry assignment of some kind or current River group leaders and leader assistants. The training center is a two-year commitment designed to help individuals begin to acquire the character, competency, and commitment needed for their sphere of ministry - and to do it all in the context of the local church.

Who?

Who is the Training Center for?

The training center is designed for (1) those seeking a PATHWAY to and PREPARATION for vocational ministry and (2) current River group leaders and leader assistants who desire intentional personal training. Below are the entry requirements.

  • Complete interest form and application
  • Reference from current ministry leader
  • Personal meeting with the River Training Center Team
  • Obtain minimum 20 hour a week paid job (does not apply to group leaders)
  • Apply to Midwestern Seminary (optional)
How?

How does the Training Center operate?

The training center (RTC) is a ministry of River Community Church. RTC provides personal / ministry assessment, mentoring, and theological training taught by River staff.

Theological training is provided through River Christian Training consists of eight core classes that may be completed no sooner than two years.

*River Christian Training is a non-accredited program.

Year 3 & 4 of RTC (optional)

  • Customized Training
  • Complete your Seminary Degree
  • Graduate from the Training Center

The training center is preparation to GO – whether that is going across the city, state, country, or world. Our aim is to equip and send.
