By February 13, 2025Daily Devotional

The resources God has given us to live a thriving life are His Word, Spirit, and People.

Read God’s Word:

Leviticus 1-4
Act 2: God’s Covenant People
Scene 3: The Sinai Covenant and law: God embraces and instructs his people

Background Information: Leviticus 1-4

Exodus ends with Moses unable to enter the tabernacle because of the holiness of God and Moses’ sin. Leviticus begins with God calling to Moses and speaking to him from the tabernacle.  Originally the first five books of the Bible were a single volume. God wanted his presence to live in the midst, but their sin had damaged the relationship. Even Moses could not come in. How can sinful corrupt people live in his holy presence? Leviticus will show the way that they were to deal with their sins so they can ongoing relationship with God and live in his holy presence. As you read the detailed and tedious burden that continually making atonement for sin entailed, give thanks! Christ the final sacrifice has made atonement for your sins. Remember this and rejoice as you read through Leviticus.
