Hearing God’s Voice from His Word
James 4:8 says, “Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
Take a moment and turn your attention to God. Tell God that you desire to trust and obey Him. Ask God to speak to you from His word.
Psalm of the Day
Psalm 66:1-4 Shout for joy to God, all the earth; 2sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. 4 All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.”
How awesome are your deeds – Take some time and think about God’s awesome deeds. What has he done that is awesome? There are numerous things. Bring them to your mind and then praise Him out loud for the awesome things He has done.
SCRIPTURE READING:
Romans 10:14-17
How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. 16 But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message? 17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

Living as God’s People by applying the Bible
Scripture Reflection from the Sermon
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news? If you are a follower of Jesus, you have beautiful feet. Why? Because you are a bearer of Good News. The good news is that Christ has come; Christ has died; Christ has risen; Christ will come again. Those who trust in Christ are forgiven from sin and are no longer slaves to lawlessness. There are some who will not believe the reality of the gospel to be good news. Our opportunity is not to make people believe the gospel, but to bring the good news of the gospel. Will you pray for an opportunity to share the beauty of the gospel with someone who does not know God? Will you pray that God would send people from our church to the unreached? Ask God to help you grow in seeing the beauty and wonder of the gospel.
