ADORATION – Reflect on God’s Greatness

GOD IS FULL OF GRACE
Grace is God’s good pleasure that moves Him to grant merit where it is undeserved and to forgive debt that cannot be repaid.

Ephesians 1:5-8
He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding

Praise the God Who is Full of Grace
Praise God because His grace runs deep. He has enough grace for any who would receive it. Praise God that His grace is truly free. Praise God that He is lavish with his grace.

CONFESSION: Confess your sins to God and receive his continued mercy.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

THANKSGIVING: Giving thanks to God for his specific blessings in our lives.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100

SUPPLICATION: Bringing our requests to God.

  • Bring your personal prayer requests to God.
  • Pray for Embrace. Ask God to use their work to help protect unborn children and to introduce parents in crisis to Jesus.

SCRIPTURE READING:
James 4:1-3 – English Standard Version
Warning Against Worldliness

4 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? 2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION:
Do you believe that the problems that exist between you and others may originate, at least partly, in your own heart? It is possible that you are entirely guilt-free in the relationship. There are times when we have done nothing to cause the damage, and we can do nothing to repair the damage in relationships. Having said that, it is unlikely that, in a broken relationship between two people, one person is 100% to blame. It’s important to be open to being wrong. Not merely just giving this lip service, but to actually embrace the possibility that the fights between me and someone else might be the direct result of some battle inside of me. Again, it may be that you are completely free in regard to culpability. If so, then don’t try to manufacture guilt. If you do have a relationship that has soured or been broken, think and pray through whether your own heart condition has a role in the condition of the relationship. Take this to God now. If appropriate, call or send a note to the other person and take whatever responsibility might be yours.
