ADORATION – Reflect on God’s Greatness
GOD IS GOOD – There is such an absolute perfection in God’s nature and being that nothing is wanting to it or defective in it, and nothing can be added to it to make it better.
Exodus 33:19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Psalm 106:1 Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;his love endures forever.
Praise God for His Goodness
Praise God that He is completely good. There is no room for improvement in His nature. Praise God that He always acts according to His goodness. Praise God for the specific ways He has demonstrated His goodness.
CONFESSION: Confess your sins to God and receive his continued mercy.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
THANKSGIVING: Giving thanks to God for his specific blessings in our lives.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100
SUPPLICATION: Bringing our requests to God.
- Bring your personal prayer requests to God.
- Pray for Youth Horzions. Ask God to use their ministry to introduce the truth of the gospel to kids at risk.

Guard the Deposit Entrusted to You
3 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. 4 As I remember your tears, I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION:
Paul is facing death with a clear conscience. What condition is your own conscience in? If you start with yourself, it will not go well for you. We have all sinned. We have all hurt people, at least verbally. We all have regrets. But what if you don’t begin with yourself; what if you begin with the gospel? Jesus has taken your sins on himself. You are fully forgiven and free in him. This doesn’t mean you don’t have regrets, but it does mean you don’t have guilt. Your conscience, in a very real sense, is clear. Can you see how this fact is of vital importance in loving God and others as you move forward in life? A “guilty” conscience is an anchor that can drag us into the depths of despair and apathy. A clear conscience is a sail that can take us out into a life of impact, love, and purpose. A clear conscience is one of the amazing gifts of the gospel. Thank God for it. Enjoy it by living fully in it.
