ADORATION – Reflect on God’s Greatness
MAJESTY OF GOD Sovereign power, authority, or dignity. It is also a reference to greatness or splendor of quality or character.
Psalm 8:1 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory in the heavens.
Praise God for His Majesty
God is the Majestic King of the Universe. As you praise Him, consider changing your posture (kneel, stand in reverence, or bow). Think about the splendor of the heavens, the sun, the moon and stars. Praise God that His splendor surpasses the majestic heavens.
CONFESSION: Confess your sins to God and receive his continued mercy.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
THANKSGIVING: Giving thanks to God for his specific blessings in our lives.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100
SUPPLICATION: Bringing our requests to God.
- Bring your personal prayer requests to God.
- Pray for those in our church who are sick. Ask God to comfort them and heal their bodies. Pray that he would use this sickness for His glory.

1 This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy.
We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
May God give you grace and peace.
The Faith of the Thessalonian Believers
2 We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. 3 As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.
4 We know, dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people. 5 For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you. 6 So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord. 7 As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece—throughout both Macedonia and Achaia.
8 And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it, 9 for they keep talking about the wonderful welcome you gave us and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God. 10 And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.
SCRIPTURE REFLECTION:
If you have trusted Christ to save you, then he has. You are loved and chosen by God. There are many ways that God has revealed his grace in your life. Today, please either write them down or verbally, out loud, recount them to God and to yourself. Please begin thinking of these things now… “Thank you God for the ways you have changed how I think about…” “Thank you for how you have changed the things I speak about, like…” “Thank you for changing my values, what my heart is wrapped around, like…” Okay, you take it from here. There are plenty of things to talk to God and yourself about that God has done in your life, probably more than you thought possible. It is very important that we remember these things and speak them to our soul.
