ADORATION – Reflect on God’s Greatness

God is IMMUTABLE
God does not change. All that God is, He has always been. All that He has been and is, He will ever be. He is ever perfect and unchanging.

Psalm 102:25-28
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.
But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”

Praise God because He is Immutable.
Think about the earth changing and seasons coming and going. God will never change. He will never cease to be. Praise him that he endures.

CONFESSION: Confess your sins to God and receive his continued mercy.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

THANKSGIVING: Giving thanks to God for his specific blessings in our lives.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100

SUPPLICATION: Bringing our requests to God.

    • Bring your personal prayer requests to God.
    • Pray for Youth Horizons.
    • Ask God to strengthen their ministry and provide them guidance as they care for children at-risk

SCRIPTURE READING:

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Ephesians 5:25-33
“Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry”. 1 Corinthians 7:1

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION:

Paul had a very high view of marriage. He also had a high view of singleness. But he actually had a high view of faithfulness whether married or single. You need to have a high view of faithfulness whether you are married or single. If you are single, that is currently your stewardship. If you are married then that is your stewardship. Determine to be found faithful with your stewardship. You can if you will. God is willing and able to empower your commitment to faithfulness.
