ADORATION – Reflect on God’s Greatness
GOD IS UNCHANGING Scripture shows us that God is unchanging in his being, perfections, purposes, and promises. God’s unchangeableness is also referred to as his immutability.
Psalm 102:25-27 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. 27 But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
Praise God that He is Unchanging.
Praise God that he has always been perfect. Praise God that His purpose never changes. Praise God that His promises never change. Take comfort from the reality that God never changes.
CONFESSION: Confess your sins to God and receive his continued mercy.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
THANKSGIVING: Giving thanks to God for his specific blessings in our lives.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100
SUPPLICATION: Bringing our requests to God.
- Bring your personal prayer requests to God.
- Pray for our friends serving overseas. Pray for Jason and Lisa. Pray for their family and their team as they serve overseas.
- There are 3.15 billion unreached people in the world. 1/2 of the unreached people are Muslim. Ask God to reveal himself to Muslim people here in Wichita and around the world.

The Church and Its Leaders
Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
SCRIPTURE REFLECTION:
There is nothing wrong with being a child. “Immature” is a descriptive not a derogatory adjective for the very young. However, there is everything wrong with being immature when we ought to be mature. Immaturity in the young believer is “fixed” by continual growth in faith and in God honoring action over time. Immaturity in the older believer is “fixed” by repentance. It is a sin to be confessed and put aside. If we have been a Christian for a while we must see immaturity in our lives as sin and not just the reality of being young. Immaturity is often demonstrated by things like “jealousy and quarreling.” Immaturity shows up in promoting ourselves over others. Children, naturally, make life about themselves. Adults must embrace the joy of living for others not self.
