I. Prayer to enter the Lord’s presence:
Be still for a moment. “Lord, I give the day that is now past to you. It is yours. I give the day that is to come to you; help me to see where you are working and to join you there. Speak to me during these moments. I commit them and myself to you.”
II. Prayer of Confession:
“Lord, you are faithful to forgive me and cleanse me of my sin when I confess it to you. I confess my sin(s) of ______________. Thank you for forgiveness.” (1 John 1:9)
III. Prayer of Thanksgiving:
Choose to be thankful, speak out loud of what God has done.
“Thank you, Father, for _________________. Fill my heart and my mouth with gratitude throughout this day.”

Proverbs 29:
13 The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.
We all have one thing in common—God created us, He gives each one of us the light of life, He alone creates and controls all things.
The prophet Jeremiah understood this fact well. Here are the opening lines of the book that bears his name, “The LORD gave me this message: “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:4-5 NLT) We find the prophet Isaiah saying the same thing when he says, “Listen to me, all you in distant lands! Pay attention, you who are far away! The LORD called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name.” (Isaiah 49:1 NLT) You find even King David telling us the same thing in Psalm 139. Here are just a few of his thoughts: You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. [2] You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. [3] You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. [7] Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? [13] For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. [15] My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. [16] Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. [17] How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Respond:
I’m not sure how you may be feeling this morning; maybe you’re feeling down, like no one knows what is going on in your life, or even cares what’s going on. I want you to know this: God cares! He knows everything there is to know about your life, even how you may be feeling right now. Let this proverb pour courage into you, let its truth speak deeply to your heart. He has thought about this day, long before its coming, long before you were born, and long before you were conceived. Think about that. He thought about you and planned for you. He cares so much for you that he gave His only begotten son, Jesus, for you! And by your faith in Jesus, you’ve been cleansed from your sin and have been given eternal life. Let that soak in… You have been born again, born of God, raised to life in Christ Jesus!
V. Prayer for others:
Pray specifically for the concerns of your life and the lives of others.
VI. Prayer of commitment:
“Lord God, I commit to love you with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my strength and with all my mind and to love my neighbor as myself. Empower me today to love you and others with everything that I am.” (Luke 10:27)
