What I do at River: 

I am the lead pastor of River.

About me: 

I have been married to my bride Christy for 29 years. We have three daughters- Crystal, Corrie, and Casey. Crystal is married to Neil and Corrie is married to Curtis. I am the founding pastor of River. I graduated from Wichita West High school, Wichita State University and twice from Southwestern Baptist Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D.). I have served as an Air Force Chaplain in the Air National Guard since 1997. I have deployed overseas twice, most recently to Iraq in 2009.

My hobbies: 

I love to run, bike, and walk. I love to sit on my porch with Christy and drink sweet tea. I love to work in the yard, especially on a hot summer day.

My favorites: 

Book: My favorite book changes with my mood, but I always love good biographies.
Movie: My favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan.
Place to eat: My favorite place to eat is my back deck on a nice day, or any place in town with outdoor seating.
Thing to do in Wichita:  Walking or running on one of our great trails.
